I am using this floor plan, except I will not have a window for the sink on the left:( so i was thinking of putting the sink instead on the island.

If you put your sink on the island, your dishwasher will no doubt be beside the sink. That places your dish storage farther away if it is located along the wall. If you can adjust to storing dishes and glassware in drawers on the island, no problem.

crap your right:...maybe leave the sink where it is then, and just have a small sink like what is in pix...thank you for bringing this to my attention! just too many variables when you build.

Everyone has their own idea of 'small', perhaps it would be more space efficient to have a larger sink on the island with dishwasher as Carolyn mentioned.

I can work this out I am sure:) thank you ...might put two sinks in this way will beable to decide what cabinets to use for what...I do not use a dishwasher, just going to have plumbing put in for resale:) (hopefully i will be in the house a long time:)...because there is always different strokes for different folks

Wow! Someone who likes dishwashing or at least prefers doing it by hand. My husband seems to prefer doing it by hand, too, on those rare occasions when he does it. They say it uses a lot more water to do it by hand, or at least that's the excuse I use for using the dishwasher.

If you put the sink in the island, it limits your entertaining space and serving area ... Needed in a small Kristin.
