Remove the numbers you don't like and replace them with ones you do like. Any extra or misplaced screw holes can be filled with an exterior grade wood filler.

Exactly. It's an easy fix. Just hold the new numbers up (or have someone else do it) and look at them from every angle, BEFORE you drill this time around, just to make sure they're 'the right ones'.
