More for Fall, and only outdoors. I think I only have one Halloween decoration - a ghost that I hang on the porch. He holds a sign that says "BOO" - but that's only after I fixed it. When I brought it home, DH noticed that the sign actually read as "DOO", so I put a piece of black electrical tape in the center of the "D" and turned it into a "B". Still ... we call the little guy "DOO" now.

No. We don't really do much in the way of gift exchanges anymore. We buy for our niece and nephew and a little token for our parents, but the days of going "all out" with the Christmas shopping are a thing of the past for us. And I like it that way. ;-)

I haven't actually decided if we're going to make fruitcakes this year, since all the ingredients run a good hundred bucks (I use all real fruit, not that neon candied crap) if all the usual recipients get their cake. Since they must be made Thanksgiving weekend at the latest in time to cure for Yule/Christmas, I have time to decide.

Stay home. Love a peaceful evening reading while my husband putters or does his Sudoku with a cat on his lap. Love the stage of life when the kids go out on Friday and leave us to our peaceful evenings.

Let's be clear about this issue. I eat. All the time. Last night -- I admit to opening one of those Bertoli frozen pasta-with-shrimp. Did it in the microwave in 11 minutes and it was great! Was exhausted from clearing and cleaning the garden. Sore back today! For breakfast -- tea-n-toast. Now drinking coffee and thinking about making banana bread.

We live on Lot 13 on Cemetery Hill. Yes. We do decorate with a wonderful graveyard theme. Make our own ghouls too! Trying to convince DH to re-build the giant spider because the kids love it! LOL! Had far fewer kids last year BUT one memorable moment when a little boy (dressed as a vampire) danced up to me and said: "I just LOVE your house!" Makes the trouble and work -- very worthwhile. Still need to get the stuff from the attic!

As stated in another posting -- we're doing a very quiet Yule season this year. I'll be waiting for major sales later on.

Out! There are some wonderful restaurants (and in other parts of town too!) We like to go to Sherlocks (British-style pub) for fish-and-chips and there's no cover for the bands. WISH there was a real pub with Celtic music!!! Sigh. BUT -- the fish-and-chips are really good! I LOVE trying out restaurants too! :) ((yeah -- its always about FOOD with me!! LOL))
