On the chip, it looks tannish. On the wall, like a creamy white with a bit more integrity than most. A touch of gray, a touch of taupe, a touch of warmth. Very pretty with oak floors and cherry cabinets....
I looked up "Albescent" and it means, "becoming white"...

Staceyneil, thanks for letting me know that your family loves the OC-40. It was one of the paint colors that I was considering for my bedroom a few years ago but I could not find out pictures with it on the wall. Please post pictures when you have time. I love Cherry cabinets and I feel that the Albescent is the perfect color for your walls.

Albescent is one of the colours I'm considering for a hallways/upper staircase. I have cherry-coloured hardwood floors.
I'm stuck between this one, Opaline (on same paint colour strip), White Down (maybe too gray)..and a few more off-white colours. (ie. mascarpone)

I just can't decide! I thought Albescent might be too dark...but maybe not:)

I thought Albescent would be too dark, too. The swatch we painted on the primed white drywall looked quite dark! But with all the walls painted, it really does read as white. My daughter came home from school and said, "Oh, you painted the walls white!"

I'll take some photos this weekend after I get the backsplash done. It's too much of a construction zone at the moment!

Would you post some photos if you have them? It's so hard to find any good photographs of Albescent. My trim is this color - I'm thinking of doing tone-on-tone and putting it on the walls as well, but I'm a little nervous to go large scale with it.

Doing a total house reno, one room at a time, going to take a number of years. My husband believes the trim should be the same colour throughout, we have started with BM-Albescent OC-40. I'm finding it difficult to match colours with, maybe my styles has changed. Please suggest a complimentary wall colours to use it with a marble (white grey) in both bathroom and kitchen.

We used Albescent OC40 on all of the trim, doors, and staircase spindles when we built our house 12 years ago. It's a beautiful colour and I think it goes well with our dark oak floors. Now we are starting to go through the house room at a time and repainting using more neutral colours this time. We just finished our bedroom and I used BM Muslin OC12. We think it looks good with the Albescent. It's very similar, just a shade darker. I don't want to paint the whole house Muslin, but I'm having a hard time finding other neutrals that I think will look good with the existing paint trim.

Clare, do you have any pictures of your bedroom with the BM Muslin OC-12 on the walls and the BM Albescent OC-40 on the trim?

That looks beautiful! What color did you paint your ceiling?
We too used the OC-40 in our kitchen, on the cabinets and we love it. The color is a buttery cream with a touch of grey to my eye. I’ll post when I get a chance. Again, thank you.

All of our ceilings are painted flat white. We just finished redoing our kitchen and this time I painted the walls BM timid white (OC39). It goes really well with the Albescent trim too.
