Absolutely not.
Those would be the companies that are struggling for working capital because they're on C.O.D. everywhere.
Once they collect the coin they use it to pay to finish other jobs they started prior to yours.
As they book more work they'll utilize the newer buyers money to finish yours. It's the only way they can stay afloat.
As long as they can continue to book work they'll stay in the game. But, once potential buyers catch wind of what's happening they'll be apprehensive to sign out of the fear that the company may go under in mid construction. This is when the quick downhill spiral begins.

Lol... I guess my PB is having financial problems then because it has been a slow and painful process since gunite to get anything done.

That is exactly what happened to us in Baton Rouge, only we got a call that he was 'out of business' after he got most of the money - good luck to you. Hindsight is indeed 20/20....a word of warning in the Lafayette/Baton Rouge area - if you are dealing with Baton Rouge Pools be very, very careful. Is your builder returning your calls?

Who else is haveing trouble with this company? nothing has been done since December and I am being told by them that this is the way the pool business is.

brabjr, I am having the same problem with Houston Pools and Spas. Pool Build started in Sep 08. still not complete. I have another builder coming out to price the remaining. I will obviously be going after Steve Lanni (owner) for the remaining costs and talking to the Harris County DA for fraud.

I am suing Steve Lani. Lawsuit will be filed hopefully by next week. Please add any comments to Houston pool and spa review and follow too 🙏
