HELP! any good builders want to come out to Seattle and build this for me? we are replacing 2 decks: front is 11x24 and about 9' off the ground on one side and on ground level the other (it's sort of a bridge from the driveway to the front door). back is 12x14 and 10x30 plus "L" stairway going down 9 feet. I need a set of "engineered stamped" drawings to get the permit. Then I need someone to build it! The builders out here are so busy with remodels/teardowns that no one has time for a "little" project like an ipe deck. We are very capable do-it-yourselfers, but dear hubby is too busy at work and we'd never get it done working just weekends. Out of 5 biders, I got back only one estimate ($38K). yikes! any suggestions welcomed.
