WeWe found this concrete floor in a garage that we added on to. It was in horrible shape. We worked with our concrete floor guy and he first removed layers of screed and paint by shot blasting the entire surface with metal beads. Then he ground off the top of the concrete with diamond cup wheels to expose the aggregates and provide for a clean, uniform and level floor. He then deep-cleaned the concrete with chemicals. When we discovered the cracks we decided to capitalize on the eyesore and create an art piece out of what we found. We filled them with red epoxy. The cracks are meandering from door to door, 4 of them, creating a network of sorts, a dynamic pattern. The final coating on the concrete was one coat of epoxy and a topcoat of water based urethane.
