Thanks for the link to the great tutorial. Some class members tried something like that. He gave us a method too, maybe I'll try both and see what feels best.

I also went online and ordered the book. It looks interesting.

Linda, You are very welcome! LeaAnna is so, so arsty & talented! Her method does result in perfect circles, but practice.
I really like the book. I have had it for a few years and finally made a quilt using shadows. It is a book you need to read a few times. Yesterday, I took it with me after I posted and re-read the section on quilting, and now I think I have a kinda, sorta plan beginning for quilting the shadow quilt. I hope you find the same inspiration.
I am curious.....on your quilt, what affect does a duller, less intense shadow have on your circles? I really love your quilt.
Your work is a great example of the inspiration we get from going to these lectures & workshops. I highly recommend attending lectures; something always inspires me.

Haven't looked. I'll have to cut one out of the darker section and look. Good idea.
