Extending a circuit

I have a 220 volt plug in on the outside of my house. I contains 2 black wires. I would like to extend this circuit to our outdoor grill and have both 220 and 120 at a plug-in can I do this??

If all you have is two black wires, then no. To have 120/240 available, you will need four wires (two hot, neutral, ground)

Sure. Pull new wires/cable to the box from the panel.

I want to run a water pump which runs of either 220 or 120 and I would also like to have a 120 power by or outside cooking area. I am just being cheap, but i suppose there is no way to pull a common wire from somewhere else. If I( ran the pump at 120 could I use the 2 wire as 120. Just mark one as common and one as hot?
