Lutron Maestro dimmer switch problem

Hi all,

I installed 3 Lutron Maestro CL dimmer switches (one master and 2 companions). 2 of the switches are wired as 3 way and the other is wired as a 4 way. All switches are powered and work in all on/off combinations. All dimmers work as well.

The issue I am having is on the 4-way - on that one, pushing the dimmer rocker up actually dims the lights and pressing the rocker down brightens them. So, I am backwards somewhere, but not sure where.

Unfortunately, this house did not come with any wiring diagrams. Also, when this house was wired, they ran 3 orange and 1 black to this 4-way switch box, so I cannot even trace the wire colors. I am assuming that I have 2 wires incorrect, but not sure which ones to swap.

I have 2 on the blue screw, one on the silver and one on the black. I assume the travelers (on the blue screw) are correct since I have control at all 3 locations. Could having the load and line (on the brass and black screws) reversed cause the dimmer to operate backwards? Or could this be a defective companion dimmer?

Thank you for the assistance!

-David
