Outside plug problem

I shorted out the outside plug and I can't find it is the fuse box ,I turned the fuses off and on but I have no juice at the plug .The house was built in the 70's , am I missing something here. It seems like the outside plug is on its own circuit, nothing else seems to be out.. Are they fused separatively or something.

You need to track down the (probably) single GFCI that serves the whole house.
It's likely in a garage, basement, bath, kitchen or utility room.
