Slow down, girl, you're sounding out of breath. You are not planning to cook in your new kitchen by Thanksgiving, I hope. LOL

Your faucet is a very nice looking one. That model number 157-090 is called a Blanco Rados or Blancorados (without a "P", and an added "s") in case someone looks it up.

The spec sheet at Blanco's site shows that hardware is provided with the faucet to install it through a thin OR thick counter, so you will be fine. Do have them cut the plywood hole a bit bigger than the hole in the stone (they cut the plywood from underneath and drill the hole from the top) as your faucet should be clamped/screwed to the STONE itself. If they attached it to the plywood, your faucet will wooble over time.

Because your faucet on/off lever appears to be in the front (as opposed to on the side) of the faucet body, you'll only need minimal clearance behind the faucet. A tile backsplash only takes about 1/2-inch or so of counter depth (according to tile guru Bill Vincent here). Don't pick a "fat" backsplash if you are worried about having enough space behind the faucet.

You're quite a wealth of information! I thought the name sounded vaguely familiar- I have the Blanco Rados too- and hopefully it will be installed this Friday (when the granite comes)

My DH is just routing out the plywood for the faucet as we speak- he's afraid there won't be room for the soap dispenser- but I am not going to fret- if it fits- it fits!

There is someone on the forum who also has this- but I've forgotten who it is- maybe they'll pipe in.

raehelen: I hope you do have room for your soap dispenser. It's soooooo handy! I may yet have to get a Never M-T for it too; although, my soap bottle holds 16 oz. and I've only re-filled it once since June. (When one rarely cooks anymore, one doesn't have too many handwash dishes to do.)

Granite installation will be December 3rd and 4th so I had to order online today. I also bought the soap dispenser.

Did you really post this 18 years ago? I just came by a brand new facet like this at an auction site (its been discontinued for some time :) and was checking the value.
