I agree with Maureen, I would go with something light to make the room look brighter. The picture Maureen has posted is a nice picture to refer to when selecting a color!

once you've worked out a color for the walls you might substitute some solid color pillows for your currently matching ones. that would calm things a bit too. i love chintz, but it does need some taming from time to time.

I have seen that fabric, so your photo is actually putting quie a blue tint on everything. I would go with either a softer, lighter shade of yellow, or a soft light blue such as Sea Salt, which is a light blue/green actually, or a soft green in the yellow tones. Bright, white trim, such as Dover White or Decorator's white.

I'd go pale...Paler yellow than the couch on the walls, white trim, white furniture. Fresh and quaint.

White! Or cream walls! The sofas would really stand out then.

Since the room is pretty big and has many windows , maybe a feature wall in a dark blue shade like Summer Nights or the Prussian Blue by Benjamin Moore. It would create a dramatic look with the printed couches :)
