Help picking scale for pendant lights over kitchen island

This kitchen island is 9.5' by 4.5'. We are thinking of using 2 Kaplan Mercury Glass Pendants from Pottery Barn. The dimensions of the pendants are a width of 11.5" and a height of 17.5". Do you think this is the right scale for this island? I like the idea of 2 larger pendants rather than 3 smaller pendants. Any other pendant suggestions? The style of the house is transitional.

The Pottery Barn pendant you like is lovely but it uses three 25 watt bulbs which, even with two fixtures will not be enough lighting for your island. The size is fine. Please look for something that will give you 150 watts per fixture. With your iron barstools, you might consider a pair of iron lanterns.

I like this fixture which supplies 120 watts per fixture, which might be enough if you have recessed lights closeby.

Definitely two fixtures. With three chairs and what appears to be three recessed lights, it would be two "matched" and off balance for 3 lights. Choose 2 slightly oversized pieces to match the gravitas of the granite.
