DOES THE HEAT AFFECT THE TV?

Just wondering if the heat emitted during the fire affects the tv at all. I have one inside and one outside that I am contemplating the construction of and use of space would be great for the tv but I do have those concerns and would appreciate an answer.

Great Question. No effects yet on TV from many many fires burned in the fp. The fire box is a Monessen wood burning fire box that contains the heat within while directing the heat outward. Thus there is no internal or back side heat to affect the tv. The other main reason the frontal heat has not affected the tv is because the mantel does a great job of deflecting the heat away from the tv face.
