Long ago and far away, we would put unripe sapodillas in the rice storage container and make sure that they were completely covered by the grain. In about a week they would be ready to eat.

And so would we!

Bill, did you check to see if they were ripe by scratching the skin to see if it has turned from green to yellow underneath. Once it is yellow you can remove it and let it ripen/soften in a bag. Also, are they dropping to the ground without ripening or maybe being stolen by animals?

Mine are hard also. There have been 10 on the tree for months now. I would like to send a couple to my landlord
