Well its in the 50s here in NJ and the snow is melting. Getting water in the basement. Never had a problem with water seeping in before.

We have what i think is a french drain. Theres the slab then a gap then the basement wall. All poured concrete.

We have a bilco door then a door between the basement and the bottom of the steps from the Bilco door. The water is coming from under the door. Its traveled about 10' from the door, not a lot less than a quart but as the snow melts more will come in.

I followed the water path, its either coming from a crack in the floor or the "french drain". I think it the french drain because you can see the dirt now mud and water being pushed up from underneath.

I bought hydraulic cement for the crack but don't think its the source of the problem. I also noticed some mold, white mold forming in the area.

Also i noticed the subfloor plywood from the above floor has spots of what looks like white mold here and there throw out the basement. Maybe 5-10 round spots scattered throughout.

I picked up a mold test kit and ordered a dehumidifier which will come in on Wed.

Not sure what to do. Any suggestions
