Exposed Brick in New House: Need Advice

Hi, Ya'll. We are building a new house in an urban area, and are going for a "loft" look. The builder's model had brick walls in the kitchen/family room, which we really liked. We are definitely doing the same, and are considering putting a brick wall in the downstairs family room (kitchen is on second floor), and in the master bedroom, to make it look continuous.

Before I commit myself to a boatload of brick. is it hard to keep clean? Is it a dust catcher? It won't be near a fireplace, and will be on the other side of the room from the kitchen.

Any drawbacks I should know of?

This is a "thin brick" from General Shale, and looks and feels like real brick, which it is, just thinner. It will have real mortar as well.

Advice ever so much appreciated!!!!!!!!
