It depends on what you would like best for your design. Low Iron glass is more of a "clear" than standard glass, so it makes it very easy to see the tile or marble design of your shower. It can be done in heavy glass, 1/4", back splashes, and many other things. Whether it is a better choice than regular glass is typically dependent on your preference, but the only real difference is that it is clearer, and doesn't have that very faint green tint to the glass that you would have with regular clear.
