Great colors, thanks for not painting the wood trim! Lovely headboard. So textural.

The soon-to-be-added artwork on the large wall should make this bedroom feel more personalized. Watch this space!

Lovely and restful but I think it would really benefit from some colorful art on the walls. I think botanical prints would look lovely. Or Audubon bird prints

Also like the overhead fixture. I think a space often looks warmer in person than it photos; but nice peaks into the detail.

Although it needed some help, the bathroom before had more character.

A bit of color used in artwork, a throw and pillows, plus and neutral area rug would go a long way to completing the space, but great job so far!

Please keep in mind, before commenting, that an interior designer is hired to create a space that appeals to her client (and not to you) and that some clients want colour and others want a monochromatic space. Since posting this project, numerous Houzzers have saved these photos to their idea books which tells me that the space appeals to some and not others. I have to say that the appropriateness and tone of some of the negative comments posted on this thread are not, in my opinion, in the spirit of what Houzz should be about.

I think keeping the woodwork as is added so much warmth the the room. It's a lovely space. Please post more pictures when you add the artwork.

I think the room looks beautiful. I have windows in a corner and did the same with mine. Although we never sit in them, it seems to add warmth and comfort.

Lovely. I would make two small changes. Add an antique gold or silver starburst wall hanging over the headboard. And change out the bed skirt. It doesn't hang well and maybe make it a darker pewter color. A few pops of sea foam blue/green would add interest.

Very seductive. This room says come inside, close the door and lets spend the entire weekend here relaxing and enjoying each other. What a peaceful and tastefully glamorous room. Sigh......

My thoughts exactly about rude/sarcastic comments -- not welcome here! You see this sort of thing all over the internet, and we don't want it here, as well.

It's such a lovely space; I really like the monochromatic look. Ignore the naysayers -- ill-raised, with a hint of room envy.

People this is a before/after photo sharing not a place to be critical of others so surprising how some people feel they have the expert 'eye' for detail this is a beautifully decorated room awaiting finishing touches.Thank-you for sharing!

Just beautiful. I love the pairing of the chairs by the window and the way the curtains extend past the window to make it look so mauch bigger.

I think it is beautiful and peaceful. Exactly what a bedroom retreat should be. My favorite part is the reading area. I love the table holding the books. The books add warmth to the space. I love the woodwork too and I usually prefer white. You really made it work in here. Your clients must be very happy!
