I agree, white lacquer is a bit more modern/contemporary/transitional. We would need more details about what other materials are being used in the space. Have you considered a quartz counter top?

Thanks all. It is a small galley with an opening to the dining room for a bar. Stainless appliances, drawer microwave, glass hood. I designed it to be very modern for myself. Before it's finished I have to sell. Looking for something that lots of people will like and is budget friendly. Its in Cleveland. ..so a bit more conservative and not cutting edge. .. which is why I said transitional. Thanks!
