I would paint the yellow wall the same color as the other wall, or a darker shade in the same color family. Have you tried putting the tv on the other wall? it looks funny in from of that window (is it a window?) I can't tell is rotating sofa would work.

A few gray throw pillows on the couch would help tie in the rug better.

Lower the chandelier over the dining table so that the bottom of the chandelier in 30 inches above the table...not sure metric conversion, sorry.

Find a large painting or print that can be put on the dining room wall, or a pair of large prints with all the colors that are in the room to pull everything together. You might have to have the switch put in another place so that the prints or print can work on that wall. Find 3 - 5 pillows that match the art work for the sofa to bridge the room.

Put same curtains on either side of the arched window and any other windows in the living room so that they are all the same in the whole room....they look nice and more will only soften room further.

Large arc floor lamp in corner going out over the sofa.

Buffet lamps on either side of the TV to brighten the room.

A pair of large bronze or silver tall candlesticks on one side of the buffet for height in the dining room....and finally a large fiddle fig, silk or real trees somewhere in the room for sophistication and something organic to soften things up....great room.

Air condition or heater I think? Color in accents as I noted above. Large art work or two large artwork on dining room wall. Place switch to side; electrician can do this for nominal fee.

No, keep it, it's beautiful and unique as are your lovely furniture pieces. Your hanging lights are also beautiful. however the one above the dining table needs to be lowered as soosun2 posted earlier.

I cannot see what colors you really have in the rooms as my PC does not give me a true reading of color, but if you are unhappy with the color in the living space, you should try to change it. Buy sample paint cans to paint on poster boards to place around the room to see at different times of the day (light has big effect on color).

Can you move the TV credenza over more to the right so the brown chair isn't so close to the sectional. All of the credenza does not have to be on top of the area rug. It just looks like the chair is too close to the sofa. Add some smaller different colored pillows to go with the ones you have as others have posted. You may need a room darkening drape over the sheers in the TV room. You have such beautiful high ceilings.

I'm sorry , I did not see you have another set of draperies in both rooms.

Paint the yellow wall the same as your other walls and paint the trim around the window white like your other trim (if you keep the window--I imagine that was costly). What sort of accent color would you like in art and pillows?

Couple things:
1. The yellow accents don't really match the pallet, so I'd get rid of all things yellow.
2. The coffee table is too big (although beautiful) I would suggest a smaller version with a glass top to help make the room appear larger.
3. The way you repositioned the furniture makes so much more sense.

TVs don't ever belong in front of windows. If you aren't going to close up the kitchen window, then I'd find a way to put the TV on the wall to the left.
