I would paint the blue bay window the same color as the rest of the house. It's okay on the garage door.

The red door is okay, but the bright white is too white for the rock work. I'd match a cream color from it for that area or go with the regular trim color and see how that looks.

Why is that 'C' above the garage? I'd take it down if it doesn't have some deep emotional value to your family.

I agree, take out the tree and if you have the budget extend the porch all the way across the front and as deep as the garage front. That way your eye will focus on the porch and not notice the missing window on the top story. Also paint the blue bay window the same as the siding.

I know the upstairs window was removed to put bath vanity, but here is a picture showing the window there and a larger garage door. I’d go neutral on the paint scheme also- dark taupes and greys.

I assumed that all of the area with the grey siding was occupied by garage space on the inside. Is that not the case? If it is all garage, then you can absolutely put in a larger door, although maybe not as large as I drew.

This isn't a cheap idea but a wrap around porch would REALLY add to this house. If wrapping around is out of the question for some reason (like $$$$), it would STILL help to have a porch in the front of the house.

I would wait to see what the tree in front looks like - it is possibly a great asset when blossomed out. If you did add the porch MAYBE you could dig it out and move it.

Personally, I don't like the blue accent color OR the white around the door. I usually love red doors but not on this house. I agree that two or even three shades of grey or tan & brown would do the house great favors. I am leaning towards the tans and browns myself from the way the rock work looks from here.

This is really being picky - but for ME - the white door trim is HUGE - so it NEEDS to be the same color as the door and hopefully then it wouldn't be so noticeable. The white trim around the garage would look much nicer to me if it were squared and not angled as nothing else on the house has those angles.

If you love the interior and the price is right - don't let the exterior stop you. If you did NOTHING but repaint the exterior of the house - you could remedy the curb appeal. When you actually LIVE there - far more ideas will come your way. My husband and I have built and remodeled a number of homes WHILE living on the property during the progress. Each night after dinner and before we dropped exhausted into our bed - we would sit somewhere in or around the building and go over what we accomplished that day and I can't tell you how often we changed or added to our plans as we went because we learned which way the breezes blew, where the sun beat the hardest, where the best views were, what we could use that corner for, etc. What you don't notice in one season - you learn in the next. No blue on this house unless it's just the front door. Replace the bay window with French doors leading out to a new porch.

Your stone is well toned with the main siding. Pick a deeper shade of the siding that echos the darker gray stone everywhere that there is lake blue now. Near bm rockport gray . . Shutters like kendall charcoal - . Door and screen , or you could go .. if the bath can take it add a window - you could go to three 1' small squares wide at 6'8" above finish floor mulled together .. or a triple slider with colonial grids if the bathroom privacy is a concern.
