No help, but in years past, I've bought from Pet Doors USA. Wide selection, and as I recall, they were great at answering my questions. This was years ago, and two houses ago. But I was impressed with the company.

I believe Hale has been the best quality pet door I've found. I used them when I had to put a door thru the house wall and the ease of installation (if you're a DIY'er) and the detail they put in the design was worth every penny. You'll also find the double flaps will make a difference in utility bills since they help prevent drafts .

I currently have a patio-cat door that I bought from Lowes and it has worked fine the past 5 years. But......since it has a single clear flap it doesn't prevent drafts, plus the magnets aren't as strong as the Hale brand.
IMO, the main feature in selecting a pet door is choosing one with a soft, clear flap vs a solid one. I once had a dog door with a solid panel and as my dog was going out the door something scared her and she tried to back up. As she moved backward the door tightened against her like a wedge. Her effort to break free ended up partially tearing the door from one side of its frame and warping the rest of the frame. Since then I use on vinyl doors.
I've never had a problem with other animals coming in the house, even in my last house which had raccoons visiting my deck every night. Just remember to never leave any pet food in an area near the door, or in the same room where the door is located, to avoid having unwanted visitors.

The majority of soft-panel doors I've seen have a separate solid panel that slides into the frame of the pet door. This allows you to securely lock the door.
