DYI Bathroom help needed

So we ran out of $ on our reno and still have this bathroom to do. We want to do a quick facelift so that it matches the rest of our 70s/modern inspired home. We are a fun loving family, so up for creative ideas. We did do a bath tub in a white tile, but need to do something with the rest. Would like to change vanity, but don't want to have to change the tile. Can I do vinyl over top and up the wall?? And what about that light. Need advice please!!

I think you are quite lucky to have such a spacious room with what look like neutral tiles and vanity. To be honest I would start small. change out the blue valance for a nice roman shade, add some colourful artwork, towels and maybe some baskets with towels on the floor. Keep the shade, artwork and towels co-ordinated so it looks cohesive. It's hard to see the light in the photo but it looks like it is attached to the mirror. I would instead spend my money on a nice stone type countertop and new light fixture
