We are building a new house and the main floor is open concept for the most part.

We chose oil rubbed bronze door knobs and hardware for the kitchen cabinets. We have stainless steel appliances.

When choosing lighting and faucet fixtures for the island and kitchen table area is it best to stay with oil rubbed bronze color or is it okay to bring in a different finish like brushed nickel?

I know not everything always has to be matchy matchy but looking for some advice.
