We are renovating a house built in the sixties. Due to building and design review strict rules in my city it has taken over six years to get to here. Many times we almost gave up. But we persevered and with some creative and super supportive people we finally got it through and city now we begin. A contemporary design and in a great but small sloping lot. Will post as we go. Contractor says 10 months but we will see. So far minor hiccups and good communication between all parties. Will need advice on garden, kitchen, appliances and all sorts of things. Wish us luck, hopefully as they say all the heartache was in the planning and the building will go smoothly.
