My husband and I just built a new home and moved in this past April, it is much larger than our previous home and we are in need of window treatments, rugs, furniture, the works. I met with an interior designer at the end of April to discuss what we needed and to show her the house. She wasn't able to meet again for a couple of weeks (mid-may) at which point she brought some rug samples and we discussed things more. She still isn't available to meet with me, and won't be until mid to late June, and she hasn't given me an appointment or any commitment for a date yet. I'm starting to get frustrated as I am really ready to place some orders and make our house feel like a home. It isn't comfortable living in a home without rugs or enough furniture. She was highly recommended to me from our neighborhood sales agent but I didn't realize the process would be so slow. I feel bad dropping her as she has met with me twice and she only makes $ through my furniture orders, and I'd hate to start over with someone new. But is this normal? She has messaged me a couple pictures here and there but other than that there is no communication. This is my first time working with a designer so perhaps I'm just impatient and it usually takes a couple of months to be able to start ordering? Just looking for a gauge on what's "normal"....
