Updating Fireplace

Here are pics of our updated fireplace. We were debating what to do with it and I had a hard time finding info on stone veneer so wanted to post if anyone had any questions. I did all of the work myself and it wasn't as hard as I thought it would be. We used Canyon stone veneer and went with the "Kentucky" coloring. Sorry about the pic size, I can't seem to get them the same size.

The updated pic is too small to really see.

I like the stone you chose!

Very nice did you put that veneer over the existing brick?

Thank you, yes it is right over the existing brick. The brick was very rough and had deep grout lines so it worked out. For smooth brick I would probably have had to do it a bit differently.

Very nice, removing the mantel and renovating with new stone de-clutters the wall and makes the room feel larger!

Thank you. I was very nervous about doing a job like this as I have never done anything like it before but it turned out even better than I had hoped.
