Cheapest and best way to remodel this kitchen?

I settle on this house in mid July and the only thing I don't like about the house is the kitchen. I was thinking of gray subway tiles, a light granite counter top, mosaic back splash, gray walls, and painting the cabinets a seafoam color (is that frowned upon?) and suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Congratulations on your new house. I suggest that you live with the kitchen for a few months before making major changes. The fridge placement, for example, might need to be changed. You might try covering the backsplash with stick-on mosaic tiles or paintable wallpaper. Paint the walls the gray you want, coordinating with the flooring. Then live with it for a few months.
