We're in the middle of our kitchen renovation, and we want a breakfast bar similar to the ones in the photos. We want it to sit directly on our Caesarstone countertop, with 6-8" sitting on the counter and a 10-11" overhang.

The bar side Caesarstone counter will be sitting on a knee wall, so I'm thinking we could bolt the bar through both the Caesarstone counter and the plywood top of of the knee wall, for extra stability.

My question is, can we install this securely? It will be an 80"x 17-18" x 3" bar, and we want to make sure both it and the Caesarstone counter won't be in danger of damage.

I'd also love any advice on finish. I'm thinking a urethane film finish is best, but I don't want it going white around the sides.
