height of tile in back splash

I plan to replace my tile back splash with subway tile. Have a raised counter on one portion that is 4 inches higher than the regular counter tops. Original tiles are 4 inches high. Wanted white subway tile, but it is shorter. Should I choose a different size tile or just have a full and small partial tile on this "rise" area?
