what did you use for the charging station in the drawer?

Was this allowed per code or did you install it after inspection? If not, is the cord on the powerstrip retractable?

Thanks for your question. This was not installed after inspection and I am not aware it is against any code. The power strip is not retractable, it has a standard 6 foot cord plugged to a duplex behind the cabinet. There is enough slack to open and close freely. The receptacle is available to access when the drawer is removed. This is no different than placing a receptacle in a wall cabinet for a microwave.

Thanks for the response. That's what I was hoping you would say as I love this idea and was hoping it would have a simple solution. Out of curiosity, does the cord get caught up at all with the drawer below?
