Unless you are planning to change your other appliances to stainless steel, I say stay with the white refrigerator. You rarely see mixed appliances. I found a few, though.

buy some stainless contact paper and put it on your current white fridge to see how stainless would look.

Also, do you have children? Stainless only looks good when it is clean. and that means ZERO fingerprints. The fingerprints stand out like mad! We went with white for this reason.

any chance you are planning to paint your cabinets in the future? to any color other than white? or get new wood ones? if so, change your appliances one by one to stainless, as stainless goes with everything. white goes with white.

I'd go stainless. It's a nice contrast to the white. Also will look nice with your kitchen cabinet pulls. I have white cabinets, stainless fridge and dishwasher and cobalt blue stove and hood. It works!

White is always timeless. SS is too hard to keep looking spotless (& that is a big eye catching space).

White. Appliances are expensive, and most are not planning to buy all new appliances when one unexpectedly goes out. Also, not sure what time of day it is in this picture, but the kitchen appears to not have a lot of natural light. By keeping your appliances white, the space will remain open and bright.

I think stainless appliances would look beautiful in your kitchen, especially with your cabinet and drawer hardware. However, I also understand your situation. I've been there, but we moved to a new home which took care of the problem. A stainless fridge in your kitchen would create a major focal point...not sure that's what you want.

As for the cleaning/fingerprint issue, keeping my current stainless appliances clean is no more work than the white ones in our previous home.

I like the suggestion of a wood paneled fridge. It would solve the problem!

Love the idea of a wood paneled refrigerator to match the color of your cabinets. This way if you want to make any changes with other appliances down the road, you can! White wood would go with anything. You could keep all of your other appliances white or change them to stainless steel in the future. Great idea Diane Land!

I would go with stainless. Right now the white appliances are off in color from the cabinets. It will look better to eventually switch to all stainless. I don't dislike white appliances as a general matter but I think they look better when they are a deliberate choice and the cabinets are the same white. Here I do think they will look more cheap than stainless.

You have a beautiful, classic-looking kitchen....stay with white appliances. They are timeless.

You should purchase a "white" refrigerator-since the other appliances are white. White makes a timeless statement.

I'd just buy a nice white one for now. Counter deep would be best for looks. SS is too much harder to maintain and your appliances will be mismatched. To get a wood panel front you will need a built-in that can use an integrated panel. Big bucks!

I'm going to vote neither...I know sorry! I think if you're investing in a new fridge give it the finish of your cabinetry. It always looks amazing and gives your kitchen a larger feel. Here is an example where the fridge is paneled with the cabinet style.
