Peas are done...now what?

I grew peas in cinder blocks this year(strictly for munching on outside) and they're spent. Will it be too hot to start a new batch or should I plant something else like(bush) green beans that like the heat more? I haven't grown peas much in the past but a family member likes them for in-garden eating and I do too now. I grew Cascade Bush and absolutely love them! Any ideas are appreciated. This is my third season back in the PNW and I'm still trying to figure out(remember) what works. I do mostly tomatoes, peppers, cukes and zukes, all of which are doing well at the moment(knock wood).
