Anitamo - give it some time and you will. My kitchen is quite OCD so hard to believe something is MIA.

Lost, but eventually found, my mini spatula for tiny jars (hiding in the other drawer under the rolling pin) and the measuring cup for our rice cooker (cleaverly camouflaged inside a clear container of rice at an angle I couldn't see 'cause I'm short).

Everything else that went MIA so far DH had moved and could locate for me. Still unpacking and rearranging, so might still end up completely losing something!

I'm sure your knives will turn up. You'll probably suddenly remember where they got moved to at the oddest time!

My one teaspoon measure. I went about a month without because I was sure it would turn up. I have another set but I don't like them as well and I missed it sorely! Sure enough, I found it under the mw next time I moved it to clean!

Kitty kibble! I keep it in a cereal container in the closet. Went to fill up his dish and the kibble was gone. Finally found it with all the other cereal on the opposite side of the kitchen.

Our favorite Chicago Cutlery paring knife. The one my kids and I used to fight over. We think it fell behind the metal cabinet in our old kitchen. Never found it. My new Rada might be even better, but I'm not as fond of the aluminum handle. The wood one on the the C.C. felt nicer in the hand.

Somehow in a timespan of 2 years I have lost all 16 of my flatware teaspoons! The only thing I can think of is between the 3 kids and take to school lunches, they slowly dwindled down and are sitting in multiple classrooms and or school kitchen, or were mistakenly thrown away with lunch trash. At one point I could not keep plastic food storage containers from disappearing- the source was my then little boy who would take them to make terrariums for critters he would find in the yard.

I found lots of things I thought I lost when I cleaned out the cupboards for this remodel. Sometimes it was just things shoved to the back of a deep shelf or stacked underneath something in a deep drawer. Hello pasta roller, toast rack and those two ramekins that were keeping my set from being complete.

I'm still missing one sterling silver teaspoon that I'm convinced went down the garbage disposal or into the trash during long ago dinner party when too many people helped clean up.

My warming tray! I finally found it after 2 years! I knew I wouldn't have given it away. Anywhere I thought it would be, it wasn't. I pulled out some big bowls because our Anna Apples are ripe in June, and there it was. Under those big bowls. That tray is a treasure when entertaining, and the 4th is coming up! Yay! The lost has been found!

two cookbooks and my canning tongs. My fear is that during one of my purging dervishes I purged them :-( Or they may be in a box? Haven't fully unpacked yet.

Teaspoons. They're MIA.

I'm down to about 8, and I had at least 15 or more last year.

Someone must be throwing them away. I just end up buying a multipack of cheap ones about once a year.

Something is lost each and every time my kids empty the dishwasher.

Teaspoons disappear in my house, too! I don't get it. Where do they assemble? Are they planning some kind of coup?

My griddle. Still gone after 18 months. I finally had to just bite the bullet and buy a new one!

Teaspoon *always*. But I've lost my cherry pitter since last June! I'm sure I decided I didn't need to use prime real estate for something used only a couple of weeks per year, and moved it. My cherry tree didn't do extremely well this year, but the birds got a couple of quarts of cherries because I was too stubborn to buy a new one when I was sure it'd turn up. I did finally cave and I ordered a new one, but it arrived too late. The good news is that it's far superior to the old one. [Waving to a2!!]

I lost my silly dollarstore poptop can opener when cleaning out my junk drawer! And I used that thing to help me bend the tops just the right way so the tabs wouldn't break and the can would actually open. Otherwise I'm always dealing with a half opened can. hopefully they're still around.

Maybe the Borrowers have your teaspoons. You can have mine. We never use them. Probably because we don't use sugar.

The question for me is, 'What will I find in my kitchen?' Every time I clean out a pantry, door, cabinet, etc., I find things that I put up so I would 'know where it is' or forgot I had!

There's my paring knife, yeonassky! The third one down. Now the question is how on earth did it get all the way into Canada?! : )

Edited to add that I just found new ones on Amazon almost the same as my old one in case anyone else's knives ran off to Canada. Maybe that's where all the teaspoons went, too. (And all this time we thought it was the dish that ran away with the spoon...)

Lol. My sister married an American and moved down to Houston. She took Canadian stuff with her. Maybe that's how the knives got here. An American moved here and found Canadian knives he/she liked better. ;)

I look up everything mentioned here, but don't post all of my finds. People would surely think I'm a TKO stalker then. ;)

I lost my beautiful sea life knobs and pulls. I had them for one kitchen, moved and took them with me. We moved again and remodeled again. When the install time came the knobs were nowhere to be found. :(
