Furniture color/finish?

Moving to a new (to me) home and I'm starting from scratch with furnitures. I want to paint my room this silver sage color and I was wondering what color/finish furniture would match. I have this dark gray bed. Is espresso finish too dark since my bed is already dark? Should I go with white to balance it out?

The last picture is what the room looks like right now with the seller's furniture.

Your suggestions would be much appreciated!

Perhaps mirror/ silver accent pieces?

Here is a picture of a room much like yours with light blue walls and dark furnishings. I am not a huge fan.

It could look nice with colors and styles like this. Slightly brighter light blue with faux fur pillows (to add warmth) and a gallery wall (to add character). Medium wood tones also add warmth, like the night tables. Do you like this look?

Miranda, I had them put it on hold for me so I can still cancel it. I was originally looking for a lighter color bed but this is the closest upholstered/tufted bed I could find, unless I order one online. I've never bought furniture online so I'm a little leery.

I'm not a fan of the whole look of that picture also, but I was wondering if it's because the trim color doesn't really complement the finish of the furniture? I don't know if it would make a difference, but I want to paint my baseboards white(ish) too.

I was actually wanting that shade of gray or even a darker beige headboard!

Espresso is too brown...try something like BM black beauty and add brushed stainless hardware to a bureau. Keep your bedding white...maybe with a trim in the wall color.

I don't know if you are a fan of pine, but it looks gorgeous with that color wall. Or weathered grey wood is lovely with that color.

miacometlady, I was thinking mirrored nightstands or something with silver/gray but they are a little pricey!

Susan, I like the airiness of that room! That's exactly what I was going for but I didn't know if having dark furnitures can accomplish that.

I just saw that photo on houzz this morning, and saved it for future reference. And it wasn't until after that I saw your post. It is beautiful, isn't it?
