While the look is beautiful, can you imagine running into that? Ouch!

HI -- My daughter would love and have this because she is a rock hound . I don't see why people think this is dangerous because it would be all sanded and or filled to be smooth or they would not install a dangerous corner . For myself .. I do not like it --- it looks like a big raw sore on the counter . It is very distracting .

i just do not understand, i have seen where they put small slabs together in like epoxy, but a raw rough edge? is this just a cool ad, or you really want it this way? in which case Ouch!

Love the color...not the material. I'd feel like I had to chip away at that "coating" or whatever that is to get to the inside. If I had an amethyst counter, I'd want to see ALL the amethyst.

I think its beautiful and different.... that said cleaning up milk would be awful!

I like it, but I wouldn't put it on the corner that you could run into.

Don't see those often, anyone have an idea what a square footage price looks like?

As the rock-hound daughter of lefty47 I agree that I do like this but I'm not sure of its lasting factor and I don't care for the broken corner look. If it was more blended into the top and covered with epoxy then I think that would be more appealing and would protect the stones. Amethyst will fade over time and despite being trimmed or polished for this purpose, if it is raw as pictured it will crack and break easily.

As with shabby chic, it might look great in someone else's house, but I don't want stuff that looks old and/or defective in mine.

When I first saw the photo I thought that someone is having problems with their counter,,it got badly chipped and now they are trying to see what can be done:)
