Look at an industrial epoxy coating like you would do in a commercial garage. The DIY epoxy ones never last, and paint is even less durable.

You should think about the rooms use, I actually would say the DIY epoxy coating for your studio would be appropriate. It doesn't fair too well, when you have 1000's lb machines rolling on it consistently and with extreme temp changes, but being this is going in a conditioned space, and most of the traffic in the studio is being foot I think you would be ok.

and since the trim is not in yet, you're right this is the prefect time to do it.

I don't have any particular brands that I could recommend, but maybe someone else does, or ask you're contractor, they surely can find you something. and outside of a broom handle, a roller, and a brush you shouldn't need expensive equipment to apply.

Thank you, right now there's still a lot of dust and construction debris around; but as soon as that gets cleared out I'm going for it! Maybe red, no less! Any product recommendations are certainly welcome.

I used Concrete Gray Tuff II Foundation Coating to re-due a concrete foundation that had stucco flaking off. I put a swirl finish on it.. It looks great and went on easy. It only took one coat to cover nicely.
