    The ceiling was a 16" deep step ceiling and then we framed in and drywalled to create the 9 squares. Each recess square has 7.25" crown molding held down to the bottom edge and a 2-3/8" chair rail on the ceiling around the perimeter. Each square has a recessed can light and an accent painted interior.
