Hi, I am sorry to bother you, but can you confirm this is Minka? I have ordered samples and have them in hand and Minka has a ton of blue and very little variation in color. Is it possibly karuna? or ?? Please check if you have a moment. Your kitchen is serving as my inspiration!

Hi pakula99! I am so flattered my kitchen is serving as your inspiration - thank you! It is definitely minka, and it does have a lot of blue, that is why I chose it. I'm attaching another photo of the kitchen that shows the blue better - perhaps the tile in the original picture above looks different because of lighting or angle. Hope this helps and I would suggest getting samples in the other colors to make sure you have the right tones for what you want. Best of luck and feel free to ask any additional questions!

Thank you! Yes, this second picture certainly does show the blue I'm seeing in my sample. I also like the earth tones included in karuna, but when I see pictures of it, it seems to have a lot of contract between the lighter white tiles and the really strong blues. I also like Kiri for the blues and earth tones, but it seems to read all beige when in a large area. Have you ever worked with either of those colors? Your work is fabulous and I know you don't have to take the time to share info, so I really do appreciate that you took the time to do so. We are building in a beach town and want to reflect that, but not go too blue green with everything. Thanks! Have a great day!

Hi - I haven't spec'd the other two colors but I do agree with you that the kiri could look a bit "muddy" over a large area (which I think is OK for floor but since you are looking at it for backsplash I would probably go with what has more white in it - assuming white cabinets, yes?). I do tend to gravitate more toward ephemeral/lightness though.

What I would suggest (if you have the time) is to get a few sheets of each color you like that way you get a better sense of the variation. Or borrow the sample board from the showroom for a week. Just put them up and live with it for a few days; more often than not you will gravitate towards a certain color way. And also know the quality of the light coming into your kitchen, depending on if it's morning or afternoon, the coolness or warmth could affect the color a bit.

Best of luck in building the house!
