finish electrical

I'm building a home, and as the bids are starting to add up I'm trying to find ways to pinch pennies. Although I have a fair amount of experience with retrofit electrical, I'm definitely not going to wire the house myself. However, I can definitely do the finish work. I talked to my sub about this, and he would like me to submit a counter offer to his initial bid. Is finish work typically a percentage of the total job, or a per fixture rate? We'll have 35 cans, 5 ceiling fans, 16 pendants, 10 exterior lights, 52 outlets, structured wiring. The total bid was $37,000. Any hints as to how much I should ask him to knock off if I do everything above drywall, outlets and switches as well as all fixtures?
