I'd try painting the rest of the living room walls the same blue. It'd be a much more definitive statement.

I have to pick one color and stick to it for the whole rest of the downstairs and the aqua is a little too much for me to do the whole downstairs. There is one wall that goes through the living room, kitchen, and dining room on the back of the house. I hope that makes sense. I can't take a picture of the whole wall unless I do a panoramic picture.

Revere Pewter or Grant Beige

The samples on the wall that you see are BM "Revere Pewter," BM "Cosmopolitan," BM "Grant Beige," SW "Perfect Greige," SW "Living Griege," and SW "Adley Grey." I liked the "Adley Gray" but I thought it was a little too dark. So I went back and got another sample but asked for the color at 75%. Here's what that looked like.

I'm confused.....you have more samples on the wall than names. Do I just count from the top and then stop?

Sorry! After I got a lighter version of the "Adley Grey" I threw it in near the top to compare. I also missed one. The VERY top is Valspar's "Oatlands Subtle Taupe," then a tiny splash of the 75% of "Adley Grey," then "Revere Pewter," then "Cosmopolitan," then "Grant Beige," then "Living Greige," then "Perfect Greige," then directly above and below the chair molding is "Adley Grey." The very very bottom is the "Adley Grey" at 75%.

I painted BM "Cosmopolitan" behind my stove and there's something about it that doesn't look right about it. I don't think it matches the granite.

I don't think I can be of assistance as the monitor changes all the colors significantly.

I painted two rooms with Revere Pewter, in a flat finish, it was so bad I literally cried. But in an eggshell finish it's very nice. I would suggest you don't go flat.

Interesting. The samples they give are all eggshell. I wouldn't have thought that would make a huge difference. I wish they could give samples in a flat finish.

rach4444 - do they have small sample jars of paint in a flat finish that you could use to test with? At the time, Revere Pewter came so highly recommended that I couldn't wait to paint. OMG, worst ever in flat!

They will only do the samples in eggshell:(

I don't think it's the lighting. We did one room with a west facing wall and an 8' sliding glass door (lots of light) and another in an east facing room.

I have plenty of the flat leftover if you'd like to come and get some!

I would not recommend a flat finish for your walls. I only use eggshell for clean ability.

The samples from Lowes are always in Satin.

I would eliminate the light kit from the LR ceiling fan and replace the mirror with a painting or art.

Im sorry but the turquoise wall doesn't work for me. I would use it as an accent as with the picture and pillows etc but I would paint that wall the same color as the rest of the room. It looks too choppy for me . The fireplace is gorgeous! I would also remove the curtains. That area just looks too busy for me and makes the space look smaller.

I like the decor:) Just looking ideas for the paint color where the walls are white.

I would go w/ an almost white teal thruout.

I'm curious, what color did you pick? We are having our house painted Adley grey.
