That is travertine and it makes a great paver. Any stone unfortunately will absorb some heat from the sun but because travertine is less dense than blue stone it absorbs less. It will feel better on your feet too because it's softer but the downside to it is that it will scratch easier. You are not alone on this dilemma because I go through this with every customer and you just have to find the happy medium of looks and function. Good luck!
