NOW...comes the reupholstering. I beleive I have found the local upholsterer I wish to do business with and will be loking at fabric samples at his shop this weekend.

I love the look of a tight, tufted seat but the cons are that it's probably harder to clean and buttons could possibly pop off. The other option a bench seat...the only con I can think of is that the cushion filling wouldn't be up to par and could look bunched or uneven.

What are your thoughts or experiences with either tight seat or bench cushion seating? I've only owned 2 or 3 seat cushioned sofas (not tufted) so that's why I'm asking.
