Hooded bath towel and bib

While these are not quilted, they are a gift I made for our son's best friend and wife who just had a baby boy last Sunday morning. His mom is a quilter (and good friend of mine) so she made quilts for the baby. I have made these hooded towels before and they seem to be liked pretty well. The theme for the baby's room was yellow and owls, so this is my addition.

Nice job, Sue. I think the hooded towel and bib are really cute and very useful.

When my girls were little, mom made them aprons. I've never seen a pattern like it. Seems like it was a flat length of fabric, holes for the arms to go through edged with bias tape and the top had a drawstring through it that tied around the neck. It covered the front and back of the child and protected their dresses very well. I haven't thought of that in years! thanks for the flashback. :-)
