My house has 6-panel hollow builders' grade interior doors. They are very traditional looking, but the house is much more contemporary. I'm not in a position to replace them, so I am looking for affordable ways to transform them beyond paint or new hardware. Perhaps a way to apply a veneer of some sort? It would have to be thin or not go all the way to edges so the doors could close without being rehung.

Any advice on this dilemma would be welcome...I know I'm not the only one stuck with these doors! Thanks for sharing your thoughts.
