We have noticed some condensation on our vapor barrier in our unfinished lookout basement this summer, along with possible mold in some spots on the insulation. Home is 4 years old in MN. I'm assuming it's the warm humid air from outside hitting the cool vapor barrier. The walls are above grade. Would cutting small holes in the vapor barrier help during the summer (tape them up during the winter)? What are my options? Was this constructed properly? Thanks for any insight.
