I haven't heard of this product, but the installer should be able to point to a finished product where you can try it out. I chose the extra expense of my Shellock Artistic Pavers only after driving an hour up to a showroom that had these pavers set up around a pool. So I could splash water on it and see for myself how slippery it was (it wasn't). And sort of figure out how hot they would get (except that this was in January - but they were in full sun and I could compare to other pavers there). And feel the difference between the PebbleTec and the other Pebble which name escapes me right now.

Hi, we did a Rock Salt finish on our pool deck - it's great. It was recommended by our builder specifically for traction. @c9pilot: it's not really a "product" but more of a process - they pour the concrete deck, smooth, trowel, edge it as usual, then they throw handfuls of literal rock salt onto it which creates "pock marks" and divots. Once the concrete has hardened, they flush/dissolve off the salt with a hose. The finish can be "heavy" or "light" depending on your request. They vary it by how much salt they throw down. Expect some variability as it is a "custom" made thing done by humans, so it's not necessarily perfectly uniform in appearance like a "stamp" would be. We are happy with ours and it is not slippery. I'd suggest you be present on the pour day so you can provide guidance on the amount of roughness you would like on the final product.
