Bathroom renovation would you tile shower ceiling?

I'm in the middle of a bathroom renovation. It's been hard for me to make design choices but I think the materials I have chosen will look great. Just when I thought my mind could rest, my contractor (whom I trust with my life) asks if I am tiling the ceiling of the bath/shower combo area. He has already got put the cement board up for it. I have never seen a tiled ceiling in the shower, he says he always does this for mold/stain prevention in all the bathrooms he does and he does a lot of them. I can't picture this, any thoughts, good or bad idea design wise? Help?

Ceiling should be sloped and tiled if it is a steam shower. If you don't have good venting in the bathroom, yes, tile because of mold/stain. A good venting system is very important.

We hadn't considered it until we saw a model shower with a tiled ceiling in a showroom and decided that we definitely want that! Not going to do it in the kid's/hall bath because of the expense, but definitely plan to do it in the master. Husband likes the idea for mold control and I just really like the look.

Please do venting to the outside to get rid of moisture in both master bath and kids bath. Linda Pittam

Most defiantly tile the shower ceiling, Not only does it make practical sense as far as moisture but creates a beautiful streamlined luxurious effect.
